Leonard Wood trains BCT-only AND OSUT tracks: BCT-only graduates ship to AIT at a different installation after Week 10, while OSUT trainees (Combat Engineer / Military Police / Chemical Soldiers) stay at Leonard Wood for AIT and graduate weeks later.

Not sure which pipeline? Tap here.

Look at your Soldier’s orders or the welcome letter they sent home from Reception. There’s an MOS code (job code) like “11B” or “19D”.

  • 12B / 12C Combat Engineer Combat Engineer OSUT
  • 31B Military Police Military Police OSUT
  • Anything else → BCT-only; ships to AIT elsewhere after Week 10

When in doubt: ask your Soldier directly on their next phone call, or ask the company drill sergeant during a recall window. The MOS dictates which track page below applies to you.
